Nature of the Forums
Sighthound Welfare Trust forums are here for anyone connected with the welfare of sighthounds. This includes welfare groups that assist sighthounds, people who have sighthounds as companion dogs and anyone who is committed or interested in their welfare.
We hope through the use of these forums to raise funds, highlight issues relating to sighthounds, and generally provide people and their sighthounds with support, information and advice through having a common interest.
Although sighthounds are often used for racing and hunting, Sighthound Welfare Trust is only interested in finding homes for sighthounds as companion animals/family pets. We actively oppose the use of sighthounds for commercial exploitation and blood sports and respectfully request that our forum members understand this.
Our Rights
Sighthound Welfare Trust reserves the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of legal action arising from any message posted by you. All data passed to and from the server is logged and subject to review.
Sighthound Welfare Trust also reserves the right to reproduce, edit, remove, or distribute any post contained in the Sighthound Welfare Trust forums at the sole discretion of the moderating team. All posts become the property of Sighthound Welfare Trust, except when copyrighted material is posted (and hence properly cited).
Our Part
Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove these messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
We try to be fair to everyone – please accept this. If you feel aggrieved by anything, please contact a member of the admin team by email or pm.
Your obligations
For your part you agree not to post messages or send any Personal Messages/E-mails that are knowingly false or defamatory or which are abusive, offensive, threatening, harassing or obscene. This also applies to any pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, racist, homophobic, sexist or objectifying material. Please contact us immediately if you feel that such a message has been posted by clicking the 'report a post to a moderator' button or contacting an admin via pm or E-mail.
We expect courtesy to others when posting on the forums. Debate is encouraged as a positive attribute but abuse will not be tolerated. We expect respect between the forums` members.
You fully understand that the forums are strictly non-profiting and cannot be used for the sale of any animals including dogs or puppies nor to advertise commercial services or websites without permission. Members of these forums may not use the board to promote any website with which they are connected by posting URLs to that site with the exception of all rescue organisations and links that are already listed on the sighthound organisations and/or links pages. If you wish to post a suitable link please contact an Administrator. The same applies to signature links. Please note that chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate in the Sighthound Welfare Trust’s forums. Spamming is totally inappropriate and will not be tolerated.
Please respect peoples privacy and do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission.

All of the regulations are to be interpreted by the admin team that maintain and operate the forums.
